# Raven vs Tactiq

> A free, open-source Tactiq alternative - native local capture and live in-call help, not a browser-only transcript extension with AI-credit caps.

Tactiq is a lightweight **Chrome extension** that shows live transcripts in Google Meet/Zoom/Teams and runs AI on a **credit** system. It's cheap and handy, but it's **browser-only** (no native desktop or in-person capture), it doesn't help you decide **what to say**, and its AI is **metered by credits**. ## Price

Tactiq's free plan gives **10 transcripts + 5 AI credits/month**. **Pro (\$8/user/mo annual, \$12 monthly)** makes transcripts unlimited but still caps AI at **10 credits/month** - unlimited AI needs **Team \$16.67/user/mo**.

Raven's AI is unlimited on your own key (a few dollars a month of usage), with no credits and no seat fee.

## What Tactiq does better (honestly)

* **Zero install** - it's a browser extension, great for Chromebooks and quick live transcripts.
* Very cheap entry point and a clean share/export flow.

If you just want a live transcript in your browser and rarely run AI, Tactiq is a tidy, inexpensive option.
