This page is about Raven Pro accounts. The open-source version doesn’t require sign-in - you provide your own API keys and everything runs locally.
Signing In
Raven Pro supports two sign-in methods:- Google
- Email & Password
- Click “Get Started” on the welcome screen
- Your browser opens to Google’s sign-in page
- Sign in with your Google account
- A page confirms “Opening Raven” and redirects back to the app
- You’re signed in - the app continues to the next onboarding step
What Happens After Sign-In
Once signed in, Raven:- Sets up managed API keys (no key configuration needed)
- Syncs your sessions, modes, and documents from the cloud
- Activates Pro features like meeting detection and Fast/Deep toggle
- Remembers your session across app restarts
Session Expiry
Your sign-in session stays active for a long time and refreshes automatically in the background. If it ever expires (e.g., after a very long period of inactivity), you’ll see a “Session expired” message and need to sign in again. No data is lost.Account Settings
From Settings > Profile, you can:- Change your display name - shown in the overlay and dashboard header
- Upload a profile picture - includes a crop editor, or uses your Google avatar by default
- Change your password - if you signed up with email
- Delete your account - permanently removes your account and all cloud data
Signing Out
Click your avatar in the dashboard header and select “Sign out”. This:- Signs you out of the current device
- Hides the overlay
- Returns you to the sign-in screen
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Fix |
|---|---|
| Browser didn’t redirect back to Raven | Click “Try again” on the waiting screen - it starts a fresh sign-in |
| ”Session expired” message | Sign in again - this is normal after extended inactivity |
| Signed in but features aren’t working | Check your internet connection - Pro features need a connection to verify your account |
