The overlay is a transparent panel for transcript, Assist, and the controller pill. Stealth uses Electron setContentProtection so typical screen-share APIs omit the overlay and dashboard. That is not a guarantee against every capture tool.

Stealth

On by default.
  • Zoom, Meet, Teams, Discord usually cannot see it
  • You still see and use the overlay
Cmd/Ctrl + \ hides or shows the overlay on your screen. That is separate from stealth.

Platform notes

  • macOS: Content protection plus dock hide when stealth is on. Tray can hide via the same path.
  • Windows: Content protection. A new tray icon may sit in the ^ overflow until you pin it.
  • Linux: Not supported.
  • OBS: Display capture usually respects protection. Game / window capture sometimes does not.

Controller pill

There is no Fast/Deep toggle. Pick model and effort in Settings.

Move and resize

  • Drag the pill
  • Resize from the edges
  • Double-click a resize edge to reset
On Windows, Ctrl + \ re-shows a hidden overlay and keeps it grabbable.

Click-through

Transparent pixels pass clicks to the app beneath. Buttons, cards, and resize handles capture clicks.

  • Start / stop listening
  • View sessions
  • Settings
  • Quit
Left-click on Windows/Linux reopens the dashboard. Packaged builds load icons from resources/tray.
